Snap Dragon Seeds

Open this picture and look close. These are dried Snap Dragon Seeds pods. They look like little faces. I grew multicolored last year and saved the millions of seeds they produced. I have some sprouting to place on the balcony this year. Can't wait to play in the dirt.  I'm thinking - 6 weeks at the most to start tilling.

Garden in Winter 2014

We have had so much snow that the garden fence is just peeking out.  It was very cold this morning but I wanted to take a picture before all of it melts. It was beautiful and still at the lot. Sunny with birds chirping all around.

It's been such a cold winter but I planted seeds today to grow on the balcony. I have cabin fever so a cure is digging in the dirt. I moistened some peat and planted one full tray of petunia, zinnia, forget-me-nots and bamboo. I think I'm going to do a row of Bamboo on a side for shade. Sounds cool - we'll see.

Snow in February

Snowing like crazy today. Beautiful.

Staying in all day today to make granola - smells heavenly right now toasting in the oven - to cleaning the Science lab I have going on in the spare bedroom.

Stay warm and safe.
