Work Travel

Astor Crowne - Canal and Bourbon
The company I work for - Spring is our busy season. Our Clients all have their meetings, conferences and events in the spring. I just returned from New Orleans. It started Monday and ended Thursday - just in time for St. Patrick's day evening festivities.

Bourbon Street is absolutely insane during a holiday. I mean INSANE. They call Vegas the Sin City - They have nothing on New Orleans.

BUT - New Orleans has the best food. THE BEST. Everything is fresh and tasty and oh so delicious. Oysters, crayfish and shrimp. Caught the day it's prepared. We ate at Acme Oyster and Mr. B's. Two of the best restaurants and they've been around for years.

I took a day off and planted the early veggies in the garden. Boy am I out of shape. I spent 3 1/2 hours tilling and planting seeds and can barely lift my arms. I know I should of only done an hour at a time but the weather was cool and it just felt good to get out again. Spinach, Lettuce and Peas. I have Peas called Telephone Pole peas. Now - do you think the vines are as long as telephone poles or the pea pods are perfectly straight like a pole? We'll find out.

Until the next time.

March

Mini Zinnia
March is here! I'm over joyed - Spring is soon and we can plant again! I went over to the garden to access and - yep - there is a lot of work to be done. I probably could of at least raked up the dead stuff. But without green grass in the back ground, I just didn't have it in me.

Thanks for stopping by.

Apple Bagging

Worked on the logo yesterday. I think it's ready now. I still need to tweak the instructions and create a container to place it all in. Maybe a box - maybe a tube - not sure.

I have all the supplies now and I'm ready to assemble and make the first prototype. Stay tuned!

Five to Fifty Five

Well - My birthday is coming up soon - next week. People say - what would you tell your child self about the future.

- Nothing - she wouldn't listen anyways.

Remember when you were a child? Old was old and you wanted no part of it.

So - even after all these years, I still have uneven bangs.

Work Trip

First Level - second door from the left
I worked a conference last week in Sarasota - Lido Key. The hotel's views were spectacular. You open the door and the gulf was right in front of you.

Bobby came with me and visited with folks he knew that moved down here from Illinois. Go figure - it's a small world.

I have more pictures still to post. It was a great getaway for February. Even if I worked - one of the perks of my job.

While we were away, the temps in Chicago were in the high teens and Sarasota had 70's.

Stay tuned
